The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council is partnering with Forecast Public Art to bring an exciting day of public art information to artists and city leaders. Are you interested in having pubic art in your community? Are you wondering how to involve artists in placemaking and public improvement projects? The Northwest MN Arts Council in partnership with Forecast Public Art invite you to learn about the exciting field of public art and how you can get started with your own art projects. Forecast presenters will review recent national and international public art projects, and provide step – by – step information about the process of developing a public art project. The workshops will also include a tour of local public art pieces and a panel discussion. This introductory workshop will provide you with opportunities to meet with others in your region that are interested in public art, connect you with resources as you explore public art possibilities, and provide inspiration to get your planning started!
