NORTHWEST MINNESOTA
Business growth means starting or
growing a business in our area of Minnesota. Good sites to search
include:
- MNPRO
- The Department of Trade and Economic Development provides the
MNPRO site as an opportunity for communities to market to businesses
looking to expand or start-up in new locations. The MNPRO
System offers information on available properties and provides
Community Profile Reports for the State of Minnesota.
- NWMN - This site being developed as a marketplace and business listing
for Northwest Minnesota. It will also be an index of other
sites related to our area.
- Minnesota
Rural Partners - Web site related to the Minnesota Rural Summit
to take place in Rochester in July. This group brings together
a variety of people interested in rural issues.
- Northern Tier High
Technology Corridor - is an online business resource for
Northern Minnesota, providing Minnesota economic development tools,
info on MN assistance for nonprofit businesses, RFP listings, MN
Communities of practice and collaborative knowledge management.
- Northwest Private
Industry Council - deals with workforce development issues, as
they arise, in Kittson, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red
Lake, and Roseau counties. The NWPIC has dealt with, and will
continue to deal with, such diverse workforce development issues as
the lack of trained workers, the out-migration of the best and the
brightest youth, the aging of the local workforce, and the
preparation of youth for their entry into the workforce.
