Admin Support & Communications Specialist

The NWRDC is seeking a part-time 20 hours a week detail-oriented and motivated Admin Support & Communications Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This position will provide administrative support to the NWRDC programs and assist with social media management. The ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, has experience managing social media platforms, and possesses excellent organizational and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks for the programs within the NWRDC
• Assist with Board packets, agendas, and meeting minutes
• Provide general office support, including answering phones, filing, and handling correspondence
• Manage and schedule posts on social media platforms
• Help create and edit social media content (graphics, captions, etc.)
• Monitor social media engagement and respond to inquiries or comments as needed
• Assist in drafting internal and external communications including newsletters, emails, and press releases
• Maintain and update databases, contact lists, and communication records
• Support the team with special projects, events, and other tasks as assigned


Qualifications:
• Proven experience managing social media platforms for business purposes or demonstrate a willingness to learn
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Previous 3 to 5 years of administrative or communications experience preferred

Salary Range:
• $21 to $24 an hour depending on experience
